Endophthalmitis

Endophthalmitis is most often caused by infection with bacteria or other microorganisms. It can also occur as a rare complication of cataract or other eye surgery.
The symptoms are:

  • decreased vision
  • pain
  • redness
  • swelling of the eyelids
